Cascale

Cascale is a global, multi-stakeholder alliance that develops tools and frameworks to improve sustainability performance across supply chains. Among these tools is the Higg Index, a suite of standardized assessment tools designed to measure environmental and social performance. Within this framework, the Higg Facility Environmental Module (Higg FEM) focuses on assessing environmental performance at the facility level, enabling companies to measure impacts, identify improvement opportunities, and share data across the supply chain.

Audit Methodology

 

Higg FEM is a self-assessment tool supported by an independent verification process to ensure data accuracy and reliability. Facilities complete the assessment to evaluate their environmental performance across key impact areas. 

Verifications are conducted either on-site or remotely, on an announced or semi-announced basis. Once completed, verified results can be shared with stakeholders, including brands and retailers, to support transparency and performance improvement.
