SMETA

SMETA (Sedex Members Ethical Trade Audit) is one of the most widely used social audit methodologies globally, developed by Sedex to assess the performance of companies and their supply chains.

It is based on the Ethical Trading Initiative (ETI) base code, which is rooted in the core conventions of the International Labour Organization (ILO), and aligned with international recognized standards for fair working conditions and ethical business practices.

This approach enables the evaluation and improvement of working conditions, health and safety, environmental performance, and business ethics across the supply chain.
